CMT Europe bv (hereafter CMT Europe) considers the protection of your privacy very important. We therefore strive to process your personal data in a legal, fair, and transparent manner.

This Privacy Statement covers all personal data collected and processed by CMT Europe,
headquartered at Winterstraat 83a, Langdorp, 3201, Belgium.

In this Privacy Statement, we explain what information we collect about you, what we use
that information for and to whom we disclose it. It also explains your rights and how to
exercise them.

  1. From whom do we collect personal data?
    CMT Europe processes personal data of natural persons with whom we have, have had,
    or wish to have a direct or indirect relationship. This includes data of our current
    customers, suppliers, and clients as well as potential customers.
  2. Why do we collect personal data?
    CMT Europe collects personal data for the following purposes:
    – Providing our services to customers.
    We collect personal data in order to provide the requested services to our customers.
    This processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of our agreement
    with our client.
    – Financial administration.
    CMT Europe processes personal data in order to maintain its own accounting and
    billing records. This involves identification data and billing data. On the one hand, this
    processing is part of CMT Europe’s legitimate interest, namely the ability to keep its
    records and obtain payment for the services it provides, and on the other hand, there
    is a legal obligation on CMT Europe to keep its accounts.
  3. With whom do we share your personal data?
    Under no circumstances will your data be shared with third parties for commercial
    purposes.

    Within CMT Europe, we take great care with your personal data and only share the
    data necessary to provide you with the best service. CMT Europe has taken measures
    to ensure that personal data exchanged or shared within CMT Europe is protected.
    – Your personal data outside CMT Europe
    Sometimes we are required by law to share your personal data with external parties, in particular with the following third parties:
    * Our accountant.
    * Public authorities and regulatory bodies, where there is a legal requirement to
    share or disclose customer data, such as tax authorities.

    CMT Europe has developed various security measures so that your personal data is kept safe, accurate, and up-to-date. Specifically, we seek to prevent unauthorised access to or unauthorised modification, disclosure, or destruction of personal data in our possession.
  2. How long do we keep your personal data?
    We do not keep your personal data for longer than necessary for the performance of
    our activities and the provision of our services, unless we need to keep your personal
    data for longer because of a legal obligation or because the period during which a legal
    action can be brought is still running. In any case, your client file will not be kept for
    longer than 10 years after the end of our client relationship.
  3. What rights do you have?
    You have several rights regarding the personal data we process:
    – The right of access:
    You have the right to obtain confirmation that we process personal data about you
    and to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you free of charge.
    – The right to rectification:
    You have the right to request that we update the personal data we hold about you or
    correct or complete any incorrect personal data.
    – The right to erasure and restriction:
    You have the right to request that we delete your personal data. You hereby
    acknowledge that if you request deletion of personal data, certain services cannot be
    provided.
    You may also request us to restrict the processing of your personal data.
    – The right to object:
    You always have the right to object to the use of your personal data. However, you
    must give reasons for this request.
    – Right of portability:
    You have the right to obtain your personal data processed by us in a structured,
    common, and machine-readable form. You also have the right to have this data
    transferred to other data controllers.
    – Right to withdraw your consent:
    You have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data
    at any time (provided that the processing is based on your consent)
